What are the requirements for participating in public investment tenders called by the Public Works Ministry (MOP)?

The requirements for bidding in these tenders vary depending on the nature and complexity of the project. However, some factors to be borne in mind are: o Specific technical experience in the type of project being tendered;

  • Sufficient financial capacity and/or working capital;
  • Performance bond for a percentage of the total value of the work;
  • Presentation of documents in or translated into Spanish;
  • Establishment as a Chilean company;Appointment of a representative before the Ministry for the purpose of registrations and meetings.

  • In the event of winning the tender, the company(ies) must set up a company devoted exclusively to the concession, without it being necessary to be previously established as a Chilean company.
