As part of the launch of the Program of Promotion of Investment and Technological Development in Mining Suppliers, an Investment Promotion Seminar will take place in the city of Antofagasta on Thursday, June 29. Speakers at the event will include the director of InvestChile, Carlos Álvarez, as well as representatives of CORFO’s Mining Cluster and the Ministry of State Properties.
Investment projects in the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors will also be presented.
Chile accounts for 29% of the world’s copper reserves, 16% of its molybdenum reserves, 15% of silver reserves and 7% of gold reserves. In addition, it is home to 54% of the world’s lithium reserves. The Chilean market is mature, with a high level of technology and specialized human capital for the development of a cluster of world-class suppliers. The world’s largest mining companies operate in our country where, over the next seven years, they expect to invest more than US$50,000 million.
