The Santiago de Chile Public Transport System is taking a new step in its modernization plan, through a request for proposals for the Road Use Concession 2023, which will incorporate more than 1,200 new electric buses, impacting 30% of the services provided in Chile’s capital city.
The key characteristics of this tender include the fact that 100% of the new buses will use zero-emissions technology, have surveillance cameras, and ensure universal accessibility for people with disabilities. It will also promote the inclusion of female drivers in the public transport network.
The RFP launch event will take place on Wednesday, January 3 at 15:00, and will be attended by InvestChile’s Director, Karla Flores.
