The VII International InvestChile Forum will begin in Santiago next week with a record amount of investment projects. The President of Chile, Gabriel Boric, will inaugurate the hybrid event, which will be broadcast live to the entire world via streaming, kicking off three days of business activities between May 15 and 17.
In this edition, the forum will be attended by representatives of more than 100 companies from 28 countries, all interested in exploring investment opportunities in Chile in the lithium industry, technological and digital infrastructure, infrastructure concessions, and clean energy and storage.
The forum is the largest of its kind held in the country. Companies will participate with more than 60 projects valued at US$9 billion, associated with the creation of 3,000 permanent jobs.
The international seminar will begin on May 17 at 9:00am. Featured speakers include Chile’s Treasury Minister Mario Marcel, Economy Minister Nicolás Grau and InvestChile Director Karla Flores. They will share their perspectives alongside international figures such as Chief Economist for the Latin America and Caribbean Region at the World Bank, William Maloney, and Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Rebeca Grynspan.
The schedule also includes two panels with representatives of foreign companies. The first will explore the role of foreign investment as a catalyst for smart solutions, with leaders from HIF Global, AES Andes, Google and AB InBev. The second will explore the experiences of companies such as SoftServe, Pacific Hydro Chile, Enel Chile and Mercado Libre, who will address reinvestment and expansion strategies in Chile.

As part of the event, InvestChile will organize exclusive sessions in which foreign companies will have the chance to meet directly with important authorities and key stakeholders from specific sectors, who will provide them with first-hand information about the market, public portfolios, projections and plans for these industries.
The sectors that will be addressed are the lithium industry, technological and digital infrastructure, infrastructure concessions, and clean energy and storage. A matchmaking session is also planned, where foreign companies will be able to meet with potential local partners and suppliers.
«We wanted to include sectors that represent good investment opportunities in Chile, and that require foreign investment to help us make a leap in quality, accelerate our development and improve the sustainability of our economy, as well as create jobs. This, without neglecting the opportunities presented by the more traditional sectors,» stated InvestChile Director, Karla Flores.
The previous version of the forum was attended by more than one hundred representatives of companies from 28 countries, and included 56 investment projects worth more than US$4 billion in various sectors of high strategic interest for Chile. Check out the best images from 2022.
