The director of InvestChile, Carlos Álvarez Voullième, met with Yasuhiro Nakayama, the representative in Chile of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), an institution which seeks to tighten bilateral trade relations.
During the meeting, the authorities discussed the opportunities that Chile offers in the main economic sectors and agreed to work together in future activities in both Chile and Japan.
Japan is Chile’s largest Asian source of foreign direct investment, accounting for an inflow of US$4,600 million between 2009 and 2014.
